BDO is an acronym that, when expanded, stands for Waste Data Base, which obliges many businesses to register with the Register-BDO.
It is an integrated electronic system developed by the Ministry of the Environment for the purpose of recording waste generated by businesses and reporting. The administration of BDO is handled by the Ministry of the Environment, and the day-to-day management is handled by the marshals of each province. As of January 1, 2021, waste records in BDO can only be kept electronically.
In summary, the BDO No. is necessary to be able to transfer waste.
How to register with BDO?
Entities that are required to register should log on to the BDO system located at www.bdo.mos.gov.pl Then they must fill out and submit a registration application form. Unfortunately, an administrative fine of between PLN 5,000 and PLN 1,000,000 can be received for failing to register in the system as required.
The database on products and packaging and waste management should register all entities involved in waste management, i.e.: waste generators and waste owners, excluding entities that are not subject to registration in the Registry, waste transporters, waste collectors.

The SENT system (System for Electronic Transport Supervision) is an electronic system for monitoring the transport of sensitive and dangerous goods on the PUESC platform.
Goods subject to transport monitoring include waste oils and emulsions. The legal basis for SENT is the Law of March 9, 2017 on the monitoring system for road and rail transport of goods and trade in heating fuels (Journal of Laws 2023, item 104). Entities that are obliged to make notifications in the SENT system include the supplier, the carrier and the buyer.
